National Influenza Centres (NICs) and other national influenza laboratories from 73 countries, areas or territories reported data to FluNet for the time period from 02 October 2017 to 15 October 2017 a (data as of 2017-10-27 11:16:23 UTC). The WHO GISRS laboratories tested more than 84217 specimens during that time period. 4193 were positive for influenza viruses, of which 3269 (78%) were typed as influenza A and 924 (22%) as influenza B.
